Our most recent event saw 150 hotel innovators set forth into the uncharted waters of Amsterdam.

Guests had a choice of different tours by boat, bike, bus or tram. Some looked at new hotels, bars and restaurants, others enjoyed a relaxed afternoon cycling or sailing along the canals. The City of Amsterdam hosted a cruise looking at sites earmarked for new hotel development.

Guests then returned to our host hotel CitizenM to hear a panel discussion from its creators.

Following sunset drinks at the Doubletree by Hilton, we took all our guests on a mystery boat journey to our secret dinner destination.

After dinner, guests could enjoy laidback drinks at the newly opened Andaz hotel, or take a stroll around the Red Light District, looking at how creative industries are regenerating this infamous area, hosted by Dutch Architect of the Year 2012 Concrete.

The next day, there were more tours, including an exclusive hard hat preview of the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The event finished at the showroom of Dutch furniture brand Moooi, with a special talk by world renowned designer Marcel Wanders on ‘Amsterdam – Creative Capital’, highlighting creativity and innovation in the Dutch capital over the past 700 years.
